Hi!
I don't know if anyone is going to bother looking at the new paintings on the
site, but I thought I would share a story about one of them.
The painting entitled "Mondrian Meets a Chameleon" was inspired by Andrew
commenting when looking at the art at a restaurant: "Oh, that's just a
Mondrian, anyone can do a Mondrian." So, I traipsed off and did one with a
big lizard on top.
The funny thing is that after I finished the painting and put it on top of one
of our stereo speakers, I kept on finding muddy cat prints on it.
Fortunately, since the paint is acrylic it is easily washed. However, one day
I caught one of my cats staring and staring at the painting, cocking his one
side and then another. Then, after deep contemplation, a paw shot out and
whacked the painting one. I had no idea that my lizard would be so realistic
to cats!
Toodles,
a muse
