I have to admit that the way Miyazaki portrayed the door which opens onto many

oddly .. i first thought of kiki's delivery service at first, the way the town
was, but yeh i can see laputa in there as well. there was also a little
similarity with last exile.

i'm still not sure what's with miyzaki and young girls though
