"As with most other seemingly absurd DEMO technologies, the potential of
the product is often more significant than the product itself. I for one
eagerly await the day when robots are available to do my every bidding. On
the other hand, I am also stockpiling ammunition in preparation for a
potential Roomba revolt. It's only a matter of time before those evil
little circular dust busters figure out that the best way to keep the
house clean is to eliminate the people that make it messy in the first
place."
But my Roomy LOVES me! I'm sure he'd never hurt us ;-)

Robotic toy makes a big impression at the DEMO convention
2/8/2006 11:01:58 AM, by Ryan Paul
Yesterday was the first day of the 16th annual DEMO convention. At a
crowded convention center in Phoenix, hordes of technology enthusiasts
gathered to witness six minute demonstrations performed by approximately
seventy different companies. The participating companies are there to
show off what they hope will become the next big thing to revolutionize
the modern technology industry. From robotic dinosaurs to Linux powered
ice cream machines, the DEMO convention provides consumers with a
fascinating glimpse into the most innovative new technologies that
companies have to offer.
