The brown cloak worn by Sir Alec Guinness in Star Wars, which went
missing for 30 years, has been sold for £54,000 at an auction of cinema
and TV outfits.
The cloak was used in "The Mummy" (1999), and was available for rental
as a monk's costume for many years; it may have also been used in "The
Name Of The Rose" (1986).
Tom Baker's Doctor Who costume - comprising a burgundy coat, brown tweed
trousers and striped scarf - fetched £24,600, 12 times the anticipated sum.
