"What's remarkable about the lawsuit's allegations is how little it
takes to find yourself on the receiving end of extra surveillance and
attention."
The danger of ever-increasing surveillance and anti-terrorism funding is
that it leads to finding, and then creating, enemies where there were
none - and also missing real terrorists because agents are pursuing
people who are suspicious merely because they are different. It also
leads to self-perpetuating organisations that seek ever more power and
money.
