Before my time, but a fascinating window into the past - and a great

This is 1969. As you'll see, cultural norms have shifted quite a bit
since then. A technical note: When you see all the quick cuts and
such in this show, keep in mind that it was edited by hand on two
inch quad videotape, using a razor blade and manual slicing, with
Magnasee used to make the individual oxide frames visible, so that
these edits could be aligned to maintain both vertical and horizontal
sync for a stable picture. Amazing. Another point: A standard sketch
in these shows was a "news from 20 years in the future" segment.
Hearing them now, many of them seem much more prophetic than funny.
