"A trial of shorter days for nurses at a Gothenburg care home is inspiring
others across Scandinavia to cut back, but the cost of improving staff
wellbeing is high"
Great idea - run two six-hour shifts per day and employ twice as many people.
Of course wage costs are higher, but with more people earning more, consumer
spending and tax revenue are also increased. And it massively improves quality
of life for everyone. It also means that everyone gets a chance to shop and
transact business every day, either before or after their own shift.
