"The wisecracking, sarcastic, beer-drinking anti-hero made for an
unlikely comic success story, but throughout the mid- to late-1970s, he
was."

I saw Howard the Duck in the cinema when it came out and really enjoyed
it.  Although it did suffer from the usual Hollywood problem of too much
interference from the studio management, it wasn't as big a flop as
people make out - they just like to have something to point to as a
shorthand for failure.

Mind you, I also enjoyed Ishtar and Pluto Nash.  :P  Via Flayrah.

Share and enjoy,
