"A crop of books by disillusioned physicians reveals a corrosive doctor-patient
relationship at the heart of our health-care crisis."
Excellent article. This is far from the only part of society where
prioritising profits (or in socialised systems, the minimisation of expense)
has enormous destructive effects, but it's one of the most important.
Via Muse, who wrote: "What happens when you turn essential services into money
making ventures. We can't magically make people trust the medical profession
when they have been turned into cogs in a wealth extraction machine."
