"While on his way to get a burrito before work, police stopped Locke near
Boston's Centre street. Locke wrote that the police officer unsnapped his gun's
holster as he approached him, which prompted Locke to take his hands out of his
pockets."
The experience of a black person in the US who no longer trusts police. And
with ample reason - of course not all police are racist, but the odds of
getting killed by a police officer are far higher than they should be. And
that reality needs to be faced and addressed if police expect to be trusted.
