Spot on.  Via Les Bell, who added:

Upon mature reflection, I'm now inclined to the view that most whiny
protestations about "political correctness" are really code for, "Yes, I
hear everyone telling me I'm being a dick, but I'm too arrogant and/or
stupid to understand that it's probably because I am being a dick".
