I would be more sympathetic if they had ever expressed any concern for
the people whose jobs have been destroyed by EPA’s regulatory rampage.
"Jobs and growth! Jobs and growth! Jobs and growth!" If people lose
their health, they cannot work. If the plants and animals die, the
businesses relying on them will close. These "economic rationalist"
madmen are speaking nonsense.
If excess regulations truly create poverty and loss of jobs, that can be
addressed by governments - for example, through public housing, basic
income, and government jobs. Destruction of health and the environment
is not so easy to reverse.
