Staring down the trolls: Mute, block or resort to 'digilantism'?

'Australian women who are being attacked online have different ways of
responding at different times: they may ignore, mute, block, report, use
humour or fight back via "digilantism" – a combination of the words
"digital" and "vigilantism".'

Everyone copes the best they can. Cultural change is under way, and
while that can lead to backlash from those who feel threatened I hope it
will continue to reduce the acceptability of this behaviour.
