"Hanan Merheb was walking along a busy Sydney road listening to music
when she was punched in the face in what police said was an Islamophobic
attack."

When any group of people is demonised and "othered", bigots often take
their fear and anger out on the easiest targets - for example, young
females, sometimes even with children present.

Encouraging fear of the "other" is an evil that risks burning down all
of civilisation, especially as the pressure increases due to the
consequences of climate change (decreases in food and water, increased
migration and refugees).
