appropriate homelessness policy. But good policy also requires greater
awareness of a discovery that research continuously confirms — it's
cheaper to fix homelessness by giving homeless people homes to live in
than to let the homeless live on the streets and try to deal with the
subsequent problems."
Via Muse, who wrote: "This is true in Australia as well. Equally true is
that bringing the refugees from our detention centres into Australia
would also cost less. The vulnerable are being brutalised in this
country not because they are a threat, but for ideological
reasons—reasons to do with enforcing and entrenching a hierarchy of
status."
