I want to emphasize that I include myself in the group of people this strip is satirizing--namely, people whose actions don't always seem to bear out their philosophies. I think it's possible to believe in something like peace and respect and civility and still sometimes lapse, without having to then rescind the belief or risk hypocrisy. We ain't none of us perfect.

Still, it does annoy me when people consistently yell at other people that they should be practicing civility and they're a bunch of boogerbrains for not doing it. It almost annoys me more when it's people whose ideological leanings I generally share, because it just makes our side look bad.
