Determine your subject matter.
- Is this going to be a game about a fantasy world? Is it going to be set in WWII? Will we be dealing with the railways of the future?
- Whatever the subject matter you will need to do research into and development of the details of this subject.
Goals
- What is the over-arching goal of your interactive experience and your characters?
- You are likely to have three layers of goals:
- the overarching goal
- a number (three, usually more) of major intermediary goals that will serve to get you closer to the major goal
- the goal for each scene.
