The Three Peggies

From Boiling Water to Soup

"Oh my gosh! Look at the time," said Peg, "I'm going to have to leave soon for Will's and my counselling session."

"Now-now, trouble in paradise?" asked Peggy.

"Nothing that dramatic. We just have a few things we need to work through, and our counsellor has been a big help. Perhaps an even bigger help will be the vacation we'll be taking next week to Cairns. I can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to that. Nothing but undivided cuddle time."

"It's a shame you can't stay longer," said Margaret. She looked sadly at Peg and gently sighed. "We were hoping to extend this to dinner."

"You two can still have dinner. I'd be happy to get together with you again after our trip, if you like," said Peg as she motioned over the server to pay for her portion of the tea.

"Ah, but you know what busy people we all are," said Margaret shaking her head. "I think it's simply best if I wish you farewell until next year. Perhaps we will meet before then, but I'm not putting my hopes up too high." Margaret rose from her seat to give Peg a kiss on the cheek. Peg then turned to Peggy for a kiss as well.

"Take care of yourselves, girls, until next time. Okay?"
