The Mendip Silks Story

John Tulloch's family has a history of involvement in textiles through generations of business primarily as textile agents servicing the fashion industry.

Since the company began an association with a large silk mill in India a number of years back, the ideas for a range of silk furnishings have come together.

John Tulloch has been involved in the business since early 1970's, and has a good knowledge of the construction, styling, and commercial potential of both furnishing and fashion textiles.

Merryl Shand joined the company in 1998, having had many years of experience in the fashion industry. She has an intimate knowledge of the nature of textiles, and a very good eye for colour and design.

It has always been our intention to maintain a high standard of quality in terms of fabric and service to reflect the benchmark set by our suppliers. Personal care is taken with all orders to ensure prompt and professional delivery.
