Do they have Twinkies over there in Oz?

I saw them for sale once in the late 80s then they disappeared again. However
we all know what they are because of American tv and movies (noitcably
'Buffy' and 'Ghostbusters').
Cute site :-)

Ah! They are something of an icon. :-) L
A sweet, squidgy icon that doesn't burn very well yet remains undamaged when
dropped from a great height :-)

Scary! If you are what you eat, well.....
Maybe they are not so bad for you after all! You could have a fight with
them, it would be like throwing nerf balls.

I wanna twinkie fight!!! Mmmm, squidgy goodness.
Muse/Xanni, you guys know where to buy odd things in Melbourne.... can you
source us some twinkies?

It is a perfect food for a food fight, it is all wrapped up and I'm sure it
would bounce. When I was at college they used to have these jello cubes in
different colors. They were perfect for throwing, I don't think anyone ever
actually ate them either. The ladies seemed to know this too, because they
put enough gelatin in them to make them like plastic. We put some on the
radiator in the sun for days and it did not melt. The bounce was perfect,
ah!!! Ohhhh!!! Twinkies would be a lot easier to clean up though
aerodynamically challenged for throwing.

At an infamous cinema in Melbourne, during an even more infamous 24 hour
sci-fi session, we had Whizz-fizz (sherbert) packets thrown at us from the
balcony high above us. I think the idea was that they would explode on
impact, causing hilarity amongst our attackers. To their chagrin, the packets
were well made and failed to explode, so we opened them ourselves and snacked
on the sherbety goodness :-)
