They used to sell Twinkies in Australia for a little while as "Twinkles". That
was about the time I first moved here, fifteen years ago. You can still get
American weirdness in Australia at this shop:

Baby Ruth, take a log shaped piece of caramel, very chewy, and roll it in
peanuts. Then coat it with milk chocolate. It is not my favorite but candy
with chocolate is never bad.
What Americans call cupcakes, you call fairy cakes, maybe it adds to the
cachet? Or maybe little kids would like it better? I like it with the L :-)
