What a relief. Where I grew up we didn't have many toxic spiders, only the
black widows which we all easily recognised. So, I enjoyed looking at and
picking up spiders. Now that I live in Australia, I don't know which spiders
it's okay to leave alone and which should be eradicated post-haste. I was
pleased to find the cool spiders that moved in near the rain tanks are in
fact non-toxic to humans. They have the prettiest yellow stripes running
across their backs.
