Hey!
This is so cool, I want one for my birthday!
Big Horn
Nine tons of mechanical marvel that is also the most acoustical vehicle on the
planet.
This magical dream-machine is the creation of Hyler Bracey. Four years in the
building, Big Horn is a rolling collection of bells, whistles and horns that
combines turn of the century industrial engineering with modern day computer
technology. Housed within its sweeping 18,000-pound façade are four ship
horns, 20 train, boat, and truck horns, 55 steam whistles, a circus calliope,
a bell carillon and 21 fire alarm, emergency, railroad trolley, fire truck
and train bells. The vehicle uses various neon and strobe lights; smoke
machines and hydraulic motion to create an extraordinary, show-stopping,
surreal atmosphere. With this wide range of offerings, Big Horn effortlessly
spans history from the Industrial Revolution to the 21st century Information
Age.
