"The Finnish PM Sanna Marin is in hot water for going to a party and dancing.
At 36 she is the youngest ever Prime Minister of Finland. Mind you, William
Pitt the Younger was just 24 when he assumed office as Prime Minister of Great
Britain in 1783, so, by that measure, 36 looks positively matronly.
Sadly for her situation right now, Marin does not look remotely matronly and
that, given the sexist society we live in, may be a large part of the desire
many seem to have to purse their lips, wag their finger, clutch their pearls
and tut-tut over her—ahem—somewhat unremarkable moment of relaxation. Show me
someone who has never danced at a party and I’ll show you someone you’d never
want to invite to a party.
