1960s, the popular internet – the one that 99% of Australians now use – is a
child of the 1990s.

researchers to something most Australians used – to talk to friends and family,
find out tomorrow’s weather, follow a game, organise a protest, or read the
news."
Muse and I were neck-deep in this both before and since: Glass Wings was the
first non-academic website in Australia,
Surf’s up: Internet Australian Style
was the first local book about the Internet and we were based at Cinemedia
alongside Simon Pockley while he worked on
Flight of Ducks. We celebrated the
10th, 20th and 25th anniversaries of Glass Wings so we should probably do
something for our 30th!
