"The year began and ended with Covid-19 exploding in all four hemispheres
simultaneously, including North America, Central America, Europe, and Oceana.
This is not a post about 2019, 2020, 2021, or 2022. It is about 2023 and the
year it became irrefutable that left unchecked, Covid-19 will disable or kill
anyone, of any age or health status.
2023 was the year a brand-new virus had been around long enough for scientists
to deeply study what this thing is doing. It was also the year that those
leading the response to Covid-19 utterly failed to hide and lie about the truly
terrible realities of covid, despite their best efforts. If there was a class
on how to do literally everything wrong and do the most harm when responding to
an ongoing, demonstrably worsening global pandemic, it would be taught in Room
2023 at a school that should be subjected to a “mild” infection from a tanker
of gasoline and a truckload of road flares."
