'Ana Fanchulidze and Elene Deisadze are taking a test which will confirm who
they really are.

They are the same height, weight and they look identical. But until recently,
they didn't even know each other existed.

In 2021, they found each other by chance on social media, thought they looked
alike and struck up a friendship.

It wouldn't be until August last year they would meet in person for the first
time, and uncover a secret past they knew nothing about.

"We were crying. We were so shocked. We were so anxious," Elene says of the
surreal moments during that first meeting in cyberspace.

As they delved deeper into their family history, they realised they were among
tens of thousands of children in Georgia, a former Soviet republic on the Black
Sea, who were taken from their parents at birth and sold on a black market.

Now, they're hoping a DNA test will confirm what they have suspected since they
first met: that they're identical twins, separated as part of a dark practice
believed to have operated for half a century.'
