Llewellyn isn't in this strip, but as the strip's foremost zen representative, he appears in it by not appearing in it.

People have put to me various theories about whether Llewellyn's advice is actually helpful. There's a school of people who think Llewellyn is wise, and another school of people who think he's full of it. I say he's both. I know this raises the question of whether true wisdom is above the flow of the mundane daily events of our lives, or if addressing exactly those events in a meaningful way is the hallmark of true wisdom.

And I'm perfectly content to raise that question without answering it. It's a more useful question that way.
