The slightly labored point of this strip is, of course, that anything is exciting if it's novel, and the things we daydream about as romantic and exciting would quickly get boring if we could actually do them.
To me, the really funny thing in this strip is the faux-Burger King crown Locke seems to consider the trappings of governance.
