First, you cannot give to others what you are not giving to yourself. If you wish to be tolerant of others, then begin by learning to be tolerant of yourself.
Perhaps when you look in the mirror you don't like the way your chin is round rather than pointy. If you then decide that it is okay to have a round chin, when you see others with either pointy chins or round chins, you will be more inclined to think they are all okay, regardless of chin shape. The same will be true of many other areas where we need to be tolerant of ourselves.
