Abba was phenomenally popular in Australia, at least as popular as the Beetles by all accounts. Pleased with their acceptance here, they even wrote "Bang a Boomarang" for their Australian fans. Eventually, they became victims of their own popularity in that it became considered un-hip to have anything to do with them, much like flairs. Nevertheless, brides continued to have "I do, I do, I do" played at their weddings.
