A remarkable, if slightly creepy, tree-climbing robot is being developed
by robotics experts from Carnegie Mellon and several other US
Universities. And here's a video of it scrabbling up several different
surfaces.

Apparently they're working on having it climb glass as well, so it could
probably do windows in future. I, for one, welcome our window-cleaning
robot future... :)
Cheers,
Andrew
My it looks like an erector set version of a giant cucaracha (shudder)
to me. These are advertised here all the time and apparently they work
http://www.ppg.com/gls_residential/gls_sunclean/
Now get your carpet roomba and your bare floor scrubbing roomba and
you are good to go....though my son says the roomba does have to be
emptied constantly from their 3 cats, 2 long haired.
:o)

Our Roomy does need emptying regularly, but he does such a good job and is
SOOOO cute to watch!
