Zoe Stands Firm
"Zoe, Zoe, you've got to let us in. Quick!" her brothers clamoured at the door. Zoe was in the midst of planning her permaculture garden and had packets of seeds scattered across her kitchen table. Their brightly coloured covers made promise of sweet pea, zucchini, sunflowers and large round pumpkins amongst other vegetal delights. She leapt to the door at their insistence and let them in. Bursting in they cried, "Oh Zoe, a big, ugly wolf...a big, ugly, HUNGRY wolf with long fangs and, and, blood all over is after us."
Zoe, of course, found this alarming news. She too locked her door and closed the wood shutters (What? You expected brick shutters?). "What would David Attenborough do in my position," she thought to herself. No answers sprung immediately to mind.
When Chief Moonbeam made it to her door he rang the doorbell and held the lemming now in one hand. Once he caught sight of Zoe peeking through the shutters he begged, "Please, it's late and I just want to apologise." Unfortunately, Zoe used energy efficient double glazing and she couldn't hear his voice through the door or window.
