Can a giant robot save Japan? Yes, yes it can! Well, sort of… in the city of
Kobe, a 50-ton statue of Gigantor standing nearly 60 ft tall was built to
spark and symbolize the city’s recovery in the aftermath of the devastating
Great Hanshin Earthquake of 1995.
