people who run it do so in the interests of the people who own it. The
duty to maximise shareholder value is an institutional mechanism to try
to get shareholder and management interests to align."

Interesting to see that, just as with Basic Income, there is some
conservative support along with the progressive support for Benefit
Corporations.  I'm all in favour of making that an option in Australia!
