"Earlier this year I attended an annual science fiction and fantasy
convention in the Boston area. Rather to my surprise, there were no
panels on climate change. Even in the last few years when a few such
panels had been on the agenda, I had the impression that “speculative
fiction and climate” was a niche interest rather than something central
to a genre that has a near-monopoly on apocalyptic scenarios."

A fascinating essay that offers considerable food for thought.
