"Would you swap your petrol-guzzler for a top-of-the-line electric bike?
Itâs also a question a growing number of transport experts say should
be asked in Australia to hasten the countryâs journey to its 2030
emissions-reduction target.
As an e-bike rider, the answer is HELL NO! i cycle to and from work. with
a bike trailer i haul 50kg or more of scrap timber collected from work for
the mens shed. i use it to do my shopping and most of my medical
appointments. but it's not very practical for hauling say a 1200 x 2400
sheet of ply ;) before you start trying to push e-bikes on people, ya
first need to build the infrastructure to support it. in sydney it's such
a sprawl that there just isn't enough cycle paths and lanes. bus lanes
aren't helpful, they have busses duh.
