"One hundred kilometres off the central Queensland coast, at the southern end
of the Great Barrier Reef, lies a tiny island paradise.
One Tree Island is a research mecca, a transient home to just a handful of
scientists who have dedicated their lives to saving this wonder of the world.
Associate Professor of marine biology Will Figueira is among those permitted to
visit the island, and has been conducting research there for more than two
decades.
As he puts on his wetsuit and readies himself to dive into the pristine waters,
he has one thing on his mind — how much of this coral will be dead?"
Cheers,
