immigrant rights.
The host of
The Traitors appeared on Tuesday night’s episode of the late
night show, and started by poking fun at the social niceties that gloss over
the fact that the state of the world right now is fairly grim. “America, how
are you doing?” he asked, and after the audience cheered, he responded, “I
mean, how are you doing aside from being a country that’s just reintroduced
concentration camps, taking health care away from 70 million people to give
billionaires a tax cut and also to finance an armed militia of masked men to
commit heinous assorted kidnapping and crimes against humanity on a daily
basis? Aside from all that, are you okay?”
That opening “joke” set the tone for the rest of the 13-minute monologue, which
was a masterclass in using humor as a tool for bringing these discussions to a
platform as large as
Jimmy Kimmel Live!"
