"State-owned renewable energy company SEC Victoria is partnering with
Australian hardware and garden centre giant Bunnings to run a series of “Why
Electrify” weekends at select stores across the state aimed at helping
Victorian households save on their energy bills by switching to electric.

A series of interactive “Why Electrify” weekends will be run at four stores
through the remainder of the year.

The sessions will allow participants to learn about appliances, explore
products, and get advice from home energy experts on how electric appliances
can cut bills, improve comfort, and reduce emissions.

There will also be fun hands-on workshops and activities for kids.

“Switching your heating, hot water and cooktop to electric can reduce your
household energy bills, while improving your comfort and reducing emissions,”
said Sumone Chakravarti, SEC executive general manager for consumer and
innovation.

“By working with Bunnings, we’re bringing this information directly to where
people shop and making it easy and fun for households to learn what’s
possible.”"

Cheers,
