I’ve seen this getting thrown around as proof he can’t be anti-immigrant. He
married one, right?
Come on. That’s not what it means.
It means the same thing it means every time a conservative man with hardline
immigration views has a wife from the Philippines, Slovenia, or anywhere women
have fewer options than American women do. It doesn’t mean he loves immigrants.
It means American women didn’t want him."
