installed, a nation folded back into Moscow's orbit before the West finished
drafting its first sanctions package.

Russians in Moscow are waiting in gasoline lines that stretch for miles.
The invasion was sold to the Russian public as a limited "special military
operation" to secure a buffer against NATO and reclaim historically Russian
land.
Measured against every one of its own stated objectives, it has failed, and the
scale of that failure is massive. History will report this as the largest
strategic miscalculation by a major power since the Second World War.
