"I recently got a tour of the multi-award-winning Ngā Mokopuna - The Living
Building at Te Herenga Waka/Victoria University of Wellington in Aotearoa New
Zealand. It is quite literally one of the world’s most environmentally
responsible buildings, and its top floor is Te Kawa a Māui — School of Māori
Studies.
I had been really excited that I was going to see and learn about a building in
the global Living Building Challenge. But I was amazed and overjoyed when I
found out about Ngā Mokopuna's brilliant clean air system, which was designed
to think about clean air the same way we think about clean water — preventing
illness and making it safe for everyone."
