"Racial attitudes of adults are tremendously influenced by their early
upbringing, even when the adults are more than 50 years old. American
attitudes are shaped by those of 150 years ago, but European attitudes
go even deeper in time: the Nazis received their strongest support in
the same areas where Jews had been blamed and massacred for their
supposed roles in causing the Black Death 600 years earlier."

Well put as always.

Cheers,
