'"Drought isn't visible, it doesn't make news."

This was a comment made by a Fleurieu Peninsula local on ABC radio last week
that has resonated with many grappling with a water crisis.

"If there's a disaster like a fire or flood, and we don't want that to happen
to anybody, but it gets attention," Bernadette Boag, of the Kangarilla
Resilience Team, said.

"There must be a conversation about what are we going to do in the future?

"How do we cater for our community? Water is a basic need. We need it to live,
we need it to survive."'

Cheers,
