"A few years ago, Inuuk actors Anna Lambe and Maika Harper were doing a screen
test in Germany, of all places, when they realised they had a shared dream.
"We were outside a pub chatting about how much we wanted a comedy for
Indigenous people that's not trauma-centred, is funny and silly and complex,"
Lambe tells
ABC Entertainment.
"[We thought] maybe eventually it'll come around — and maybe we'll be a part of
it."
With
North of North, everything they dreamed came true.
It's the first TV series of its size to be set and filmed in Nunavut — the
biggest and most northern territory of Canada, which stretches across most of
the country's Arctic region."
